Alexander Grove is one of the most exciting and versatile up and coming operatic tenors in the UK, equally at home in opera, operetta, oratorio, recital and musical theatre.

Kevin Ormond has entertained audiences in oratorios at many prestigious venues thoughout the UK. More recently he has developed operatic roles, particularly the baritone roles of Verdi and performed at theatres in Leeds, York and Manchester.

1998 - 2007 - Since it was formed in 1998 the choir has performed very successfully in many prestigious venues including Hull City Hall, York Minster, Ripon Cathedral, Sheffield Cathedral, Wells Cathedral and most recently, Worcester Cathedral and Malvern Priory. 

 

The choir’s repertoire is wide and varied.  Works already successfully performed include:

Hedges - The Lamp of Liberty, world premiere of cantata celebrating the bicentenary of the end of slavery in Britain; performed with the Hull Philharmonic Orcehstra

Beethoven - 9th Symphony

Britten - A Ceremony of Carols

Poulenc - Four Christmas Motets

The choir also performs secular works ranging from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Sir Paul McCartney.
